About This coach

My educational background is in Early Childhood Education and Human Services. I left my home State of Connecticut to move to Arizona in 2002 and since then became a wife to my husband Sam, stepmom to three amazing children (who are now grown!), mother to a daughter, an author and finally founded Amanda Thomas Coaching LLC in 2024. With over 10 years working as a childcare professional and administrator, and another 4 years in the Non-Profit sector, I bring a deep level of empathy to the "whole parent" approach because we all know that you have to put the oxygen mask on yourself before helping others. Nothing brings me greater joy than working with children and families. When I'm not on my laptop, we enjoy playing in the pool, all things Disney, visiting with family, cooking together in the kitchen and singing loudly wherever we go.

My journey as a parent coach began with my own commitment to navigating stepmotherhood and motherhood. I've experienced the unique challenges that come along with a blended family, and have struggled to find balance and establish harmony within that family dynamic. It has been my experience that connection is the basis for all other methods of parenting...similar to the quote, "People don't care about what you know until they know how much you care". -Theodore Roosevelt

I passionately believe that no matter our background, upbringing, or current life stressors we can always utilize a growth mindset to overcome challenges along our journey. Parenting is one of the most rewarding and transformative roles we have. Let’s look together to explore what's beneath the surface of our autopilots and shift our mindsets to create an environment where you and your children can thrive, foster strong family bonds, and where you can reflect at the end of each day with gratitude and peace...knowing that you parented with purpose, on purpose.

What Makes THEM Special?

What I love to work with most is the "mom who is trying her best" and doesn't even know how hard she is being on herself. I see you. I offer to you the experience of stepping into a room and being seen and spoken to only as your greatness. This matters because some people only exist in the dynamics of their past and fears of their future. You will emerge from our time together knowing how to nurture your worth and how to reclaim your joy with the lightness of a cricket and the strength of a mama elephant. Let's do this!
