About This coach

When my daughter was 3 she told me when I yelled it felt like I didn’t love her. That “slap in the face” propelled my path to parenting differently. I knew what it was like to grow up in a house where there was a lot of yelling and I didn’t want that for my kids. I wanted my kids to grow up to have a voice, be confident and competent, take risks, learn to problem solve, and think critically without being worried about being punished for making a mistake.

I read the books, the articles, and the blogs, but it wasn’t until I worked with a coach that I could make lasting changes in my parenting approach. The tools I learned allowed me to parent differently and disrupt the cycle.

I’m Andrea Robbins. I am a mom, stepmom, wife, former teacher, and certified parent coach. The focus of my practice is to help overwhelmed, frustrated caregivers move from yelling, guilt, and shame spirals to a calm, connected, and cooperative dynamic. (I promise it’s possible no matter where things are at now.)

What Makes THEM Special?

I draw upon my extensive background in early childhood education, and my own parenting journey to provide you with strategies and evidence-based, developmentally appropriate, and non-judgmental guidance. My approach is rooted in empathy, communication, and collaboration to help you achieve the peace and connection you desire.

I earned my Master's degree in Early Childhood from Bank Street College of Education in NYC. I’m a former teacher with 15 years of experience in the classroom and running various programs. As a teacher, I had the privilege of working with many children and their families, where I witnessed the profound impact that nurturing and supportive parenting can have on a child’s development.

My journey from working with children to their parents was driven by the desire to help parents navigate the joys and challenges of raising happy, healthy, and confident children.

I look forward to partnering with you on this transformative journey. Let’s work together to move from frustration to fulfillment, yelling to collaboration.
