About This coach

I am a Certified Parent Coach who has worked in the mental health field for over 30 years. I have a master’s degree and am a licensed creative arts therapist and board certified music therapist. My husband and I have raised two boys, one of whom has autism and additional special needs. We have experienced immense challenges, tremendous joys and humbling moments of learning as we have watched each of them walk their paths. Both my professional and personal lives have inspired me to join with others as they discover the possibilities that fit their unique family and family values.

When I am not coaching, I direct a children’s theater and make music as much as I can. Creativity feeds my soul. I love to paint rocks, create sculptures and find zany things to add to my garden — which really only consists of pachysandra since I’m not a very good gardener! I am at my happiest with a good snow storm, a cup of coffee and cozy-ing up with a gripping book or movie while hanging out with my husband and our boys.

What Makes THEM Special?

As a Parent Coach, I bring authenticity and honesty to my work with parents. Because of my background, I have a deep understanding of the complexities of raising children in today’s world and can offer support and insight to those who desire it. I am sensitive to parents’ own needs and challenges and provide an empathic space to explore what parenting means for their unique family. I want to help you find compassion and grace for your own self as you struggle along your way or simply need a little extra help. You don’t have to be a perfect parent and you don’t have to have all the answers. You just need to be willing to find answers alongside your children.
