About This coach

My name is Ayanna Allen. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Development with a focus on Early Childhood Development, my certification was earned at the Jai Parenting Institute, and, I began my journey as a mother 13 years ago.  I have found true purpose in reading and discussing parenting practices.

A little bit about me: I love to sing karaoke! I also enjoy movie nights and although very outgoing, I enjoy relaxing in my home. Oh, and I love plants, I have a ton!

Why do I do this work?

The work of a mother is challenging, to put it sweetly. I commit myself to making my experience with my children (4 girls!) a mostly joyful one. I no longer focus on the destination (i.e. when my child reaches “x” age, life will be easier) but rather the journey (i.e. staying present, discovering joy in the moments). This gives me purpose and hope for raising children that grow into adults who are practicing self-love. I invite you to embark on this journey with me.

What Makes THEM Special?

I am a woman on the journey of intentional motherhood. I’ve been married, divorced, a single mother, married again, and now a mother of a blended family.

I am managing co-parenting, my emotions, and the emotions of all those I love, while working full-time and taking care of my home. Self-care is a must as I create bandwidth from places not easily found.

Learning, acknowledging and accepting my childhood traumas, I’ve been given the gift of sight, to see how to parent my children in a way that reflects how I feel for them in a healthy way, that encourages them to be their authentic selves, knowing I love them no matter who they are and what they do- the definition of unconditional love. The transformation in my relationships with them has been incredibly rewarding. I want to share the secret sauce! And being a Black mom gives me even more purpose to speak to other BIPOC parents with my relevant experiences in America, to encourage managing our presence and prioritize connection with our children while sometimes navigating unique circumstances in every day life.
