About This coach
First and foremost, I am a mother of three amazing children in different stages of their lives. I have two adult children (one of them on the autism spectrum and the other diagnosed with ADHD). Both have grown into amazing men. I also have another child who is moving into her teen years. I have had the blessing of parenting in different stages of life as it has allowed me to have a very different view with each stage. I am also a wife to an amazing and supportive husband.
Knowing that all children and all families have the potential to live their best lives together in a safe and secure environment is what brings the passion to my coaching and who I am. Everyone matters, families that are struggling, children who have a difficult time processing and being understood; everyone!
Considerations for generational trauma as well as immediate environmental trauma shapes a person’s behavior and their reaction. Learning to adjust a perspective or even to take a moment to pause before an event may be the moment in which a person needs to process before responding.
What Makes THEM Special?
I come to coaching with a unique background in behavior analysis. It is this perspective that has also shaped who I am. I take a deep look at behaviors as a root to find what is the functional reason for that specific behavior. Identifying the reason why a child or parent engages in specific behaviors can help them see it and come to an alternative and more functional response that can get their needs and wants met in a more positive way.
Jai has helped shape my background to add in an internally focused lens.
