Everyone has a story. What’s your parenting story? Do your goals include being more mindful, displaying kindness while inviting empowering conversations? Does your story include finding gratitude in everyday living, where family members are deeply connected? As a parent coach, I help you define your goals and write your family story.
Professionally my story has various chapters, working with youth and families for the last 25 years, including youth ministry and parent education. Personally, I have had the opportunity to reflect on my own story. This story started over 20 years ago with the birth of my daughter, and quickly adding my son to the next chapter. My kids have grown up to demonstrate love and hope and be resilient through challenges. As their mom, I worried: what if I raise self-centered kids? How do I raise my children to be friends? What If I fail as a mom? What if my kids hate me? What happens when they won’t listen? Is there joy in parenting?
I am thankful the journey continues with support from family, friends, and my loving spouse. My own growth happened through parenting classes, reading, and finding hope in each chapter. As my children grew and my parenting goals expanded, I found my calling as a parenting coach. I am a Jai certified conscious parenting coach. My mission is to help you bring love, fun, and connection into your home. To invite peace and joyfulness to your family table. To teach you to forgive yourself when you are human and move forward. And to feel empowered and be optimistic about the future story.
Author Brene Brown writes “The question isn’t so much Are you parenting the right way? As it is: Are you the adult you want your child to grow up to be?”
