Hi, I am Andreanne (she/her),
I am the lucky mom of two wonderful boys. As long as I can remember, I have always wanted to work with people, to help, to make a difference. As a child, the kids around the neighborhood called me ‘’mom’’. As a teen, I was the listening ear. As a young adult, I studied psychoeducation. Since then, I have worked and travelled, in different countries, with people living with intellectual disabilities. During those precious years, I have discovered the power of mutual human relationships, community and inclusion; as well as the challenges of communication. Despite those challenges, it became clear to me that despite the language or the preferred form of communication, human beings have a profound need to communicate, to be understood and to connect. When we can stop and truly listen to what someone has to say, despite their age, gender, origin or abilities, magic happens. A connection is created between human beings! This is the birthplace of my passion for families and educators. If the adults in this world find a way to quiet their inner noises and to be fully attentive to children, they can develop their full potential. To be a parent and/or educator is an arduous task, it is challenging, it is not always pretty. Yet, it is the most important work in this world! I am honoured to work alongside devoted families and educators, I cherish all of their stories and humanity!
