About This coach

Danna Perdue-Melton is a mom, therapist, author, and parenting coach who is passionate about helping families create deeper connections and break generational cycles. As a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor (LPC-S), Registered Play Therapist™, and Infant Mental Health specialist, she brings both professional expertise and lived experience to her work with parents.

Danna's own journey of healing and parenting inspired her memoir, Angel in the Nursery: Destiny Fulfilled, which shares her story of ending the transmission of generational trauma and creating a different legacy for her family. She believes that connection is more powerful than control and that every parent has the capacity to create meaningful change for generations to come.

When she's not coaching, counseling, or writing, you'll find her spending time with her family, reading, enjoying nature, and advocating for the emotional well-being of children and families.

What Makes THEM Special?

My special sauce is that I don't just teach transformational parenting, I've lived it. As a mother, the Jai approach helped me become a more connected and intentional parent while breaking patterns rooted in generational trauma. This journey inspired my memoir, Angel in the Nursery: Destiny Fulfilled, which tells the story of creating a different legacy for my family.

As a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor, Registered Play Therapist™, and Infant Mental Health specialist, I bring both professional expertise and personal experience to my coaching. I love helping parents deepen their connection with their children, heal old wounds, and create lasting change for future generations.
