About This coach

Dr. Joris [YO-ris] Gjata is a social scientist with expertise in culture and power in teams, organizations, and society, and the Founder of Plenty Within - a coaching and healing practice committed to support individuals to find rest and belonging in their relationships - with kids, families, friends - even in uncertain times, through changes big or small. As a Certified parent coach, Level-1 Internal Family Systems practitioner, and forest therapy guide, Joris offers a unique approach to her clients, crafting their partnership to best fulfill their client's intentions and journey. She is also the proud co-parent of a human kiddo, an old white cat, two young dogs: a black lab & a white poodle mix, and a small backyard forest! Her favorite activities are hugs, slow wandering walks, foraging for food or art, and silly dances.

What Makes THEM Special?

My special sauce is a wholistic understanding of change, culture and power. I have experienced many changes and transitions in my own life, moving through many countries, scholarly disciplines, and cultures. I have learned a lot about the importance of honoring the many layers of culture we carry with us, partnering with our body, mind and soul to advance the heirlooms and to lighten the burdens of the legacy we bring into the world. I love to work with multicultural families or families who are undergoing or have been through transitions in their lives. I am a skilled researcher, now supporting parents to do their inner research, with the belief that there is plenty of wisdom within them. I bring to the coaching sessions my training in the Internal Family Systems model of psychotherapy, in expressive arts and nature therapies. Above all, I hold hope and trust in your inner wisdom and our partnership.
