About This coach

My name is Sam McFin and I am deeply passionate about creating deep transformation through shifting how we raise the upcoming generations. In my heart, I believe in the vast importance of the work that we are doing here. We are healing the world and recreating the entire parenting paradigm through walking this journey together in community and through the ripple that is created as we reconnect with ourselves so that we can more deeply connect with our children, our community, and the earth.

I started working in early childhood education in a Montessori environment within a year of graduating high school. I received by associates in early childhood education while completing my bachelor's in science in Psychology, with an emphasis in Child Development and Positive Psychology. I wrote my senior thesis on implementing Mindfulness-based practices within the classroom setting.

In my mid 20's, out of the very same passion I bring to this work, I decided to start my own Montessori program that I owned and operated for almost 6 years when I decided to close the doors so I could be home with my son. Myself and my amazing husband Ando now homeschool our 2-year-old son, Galen Rainn, as well as a few other children in our close community.

I have a deep love for supporting parents as I have been so incredibly impacted by this work in my own life, as a guide of many little amazing beings of light, as a mother, and in my own personal development journey. I love being a coach because I get to personally witness the process of so many amazing parents as they grow, heal, expand, and learn how to deeply connect. I am inspired every single day!

I love spending my time outside in nature, swimming, hiking, exploring, camping, and traveling. I am very social and love connecting with friends and community in whatever capacity possible. Music is truly a huge part of my spiritual and self-care journey, as well as an essential part of our day-to-day lives. We love singing, playing instruments, and having epic dance parties! My husband and I are incredibly passionate about sustainability and are seeking out our own land to build a space where we can live off-grid and continue co-creating the many dreams we have for our life together. For now we are enjoying the little ways we can tap into this part of ourselves through gardening, and connecting with the land.

What Makes THEM Special?

I love coaching through an earth-based spirituality lens. I long to help parents reconnect with nature, ceremony, dance/movement, song, ritual, and sacred circles as part of their coaching process. I offer parents the opportunity to dive into deep healing and reconnection with themselves so that they can deeply connect with their child, their partners, their greater community, and the earth.

I have a great passion for working with families of children who need additional support with behavioral and/or emotional difficulties in their home and school environments. As a child, I had multiple diagnoses at a young age, so I can see clearly the impact that empowered parenting strategies had on my well being, and I have a deep longing to support parents as they navigate through the additional challenges they may be facing as they hold space for their children. I also have a lot of experience in this area as in early educator.

I have 13+ years experience in early education. This has created a strong sense of knowledge and confidence in my capacity to support children and families, while also implementing practical strategies for success, within a classroom setting, but also in a home environment. It is truly an art to learn how to accommodate the needs of over 20 children in 1 room and my experience in this area, and in the process of implementing peace education in a large classroom has taught me so much. I love working with children of all ages, and families of all sizes who are looking for support around creating a strong foundation of connection and growth within their family. I also LOVE working with teachers and have the intention of adapting this curriculum for the classroom/school environment in the future!!
