About This coach
Hi, I'm Sean Savitt, Founder of Nest and Mane Coaching and creator of Mindful - Parenting for the Real World. My journey to becoming a Certified Parenting Coach began with a commitment to transforming my relationship with my own son. I found myself becoming the kind of parent I never wanted to be—stressed, reactive, and disconnected. I was there but definitely not present, and all I knew was my son deserved better than that.
I knew something had to change, but despite my best efforts, I kept finding myself running into the same conflicts without the tools to break the cycle. That's when I began my journey with the Jai Institute of Parenting—an experience that, for me, was nothing short of life-changing.
Once I saw how possible it was to turn things around and build a relationship with my son based on trust, respect, and understanding, I became passionate about helping other families achieve the same transformation because I now knew exactly how invaluable this work is.
I live with my playful, adventurous, and wise-beyond-his-years son in the foothills of the Colorado Rocky Mountains. He teaches me new things about myself and life every day and has helped me grow tremendously as a parent and a person. I believe that the world I grew up in and gained my life experiences in is not the same world we live in today, nor the same world my son will grow to live in. I am no better equipped for this world than he is, other than in the stages we are at in our biological development. This key belief is the foundation for how I parent and what I hold most responsible for the relationship my son and I have today. I don't just teach this stuff; we live it each and everyday.
Before stepping into the world of parent coaching through the Jai Institute of Parenting, I spent over a decade as a licensed Realtor, guiding families to find homes that fit their needs and lifestyles. Additionally, my background includes extensive work in neuro-marketing and psychology-based user design. I have also been fortunate to pursue my passion for working with parents and youth as a former Camp Director for a high-risk youth camp.
I believe the children who excel as whole and healthy human beings are the ones nurtured and guided by the best version of their parents. Now, if you heard that and thought, well, no one's perfect, you're 100% right. Perfection is never the goal. It's more about being okay with not being perfect and how we choose to respond when we do make a mistake or get an unintended result. My goal is to help parents create harmonious and loving family environments and unlock the parent they want to be. I don't have all the answers, and I'll never tell you how to parent. I provide the support and tools needed for parents to find their own solutions and make the best choices for their families.
I'm here to support you on this transformative journey. Let's build a stronger, happier home together!
What Makes THEM Special?
When I started this journey, I knew I didn’t want to parent the way I found myself parenting, but I didn’t know any other way. It was like—I would do better if I knew better, but I didn’t. And I knew it. I felt the pressure, the self-doubt, and the frustration of not having the right tools or support. What I needed wasn’t more judgment or unrealistic expectations or people telling me what to do. I needed guidance that actually made sense for my life and my values and me.
That’s why my coaching is rooted in meeting parents where they are—not where they think they should be or how I think it should be. Together, we get clear on what really matters to you—how you want to parent, what values you want to pass to your kids that's all up to you. I'll give you the tools and the insights but how you parent is up to you because no one will ever know how to raise your kids better than you.
I’ve worked with a lot of families, and I see the pressure parents put on themselves and their kids and I see them making life much harder than it needs to be. I was formerly a camp director for a high-risk youth camp, working with at-risk teens ages 13–18, which gave me a deep understanding of behavior, emotional regulation, and what it really takes to build connection—even in tough moments.
I’m grounded and direct, but I lead with compassion. I won’t just tell you what you want to hear. Instead, I’ll help you see where things can be easier, less stressful, and more intentional. Parenting doesn’t have to feel like a constant battle. Let’s make it something that feels good—for you and for your child.
