About This coach

My journey as a parenting coach started because I wanted a different kind of relationship with my children. I am the mother of wildly active 8-year-old twin boys. Before discovering peaceful parenting, I was using a traditional parenting style that felt inconsistent, chaotic, and even explosive at times. I was losing it and yelling at my kids more and more.

Both of my boys were having frequent meltdowns. One of my boys was really struggling with emotion regulation and lashing out often. When we discovered that he has ADHD, it all fell into place. The explosive episodes, impulsivity, and meltdowns over seemingly trivial things now made sense! I knew that we needed a change. I wanted deeper understanding and connection with both of my sons. I really wanted to provide a calm and positive environment for my family.

I researched parenting styles and found positive/peaceful parenting. Not only was this parenting style recommended for my child with ADHD, but it was also recommended for ALL children and families. I was thrilled to learn a new style of parenting. Within weeks of implementing peaceful parenting strategies and communicating differently with my kids, I noticed amazing changes in my kids' behaviors.

My son with ADHD was happier, more loving, less explosive and had less conflict with his brother. His brother was happier and calmer because there was less bickering and fighting! I soon realized that it was all about creating connection and relationship with my kids. It wasn’t about behavior modification for them. It was about ME, my mindset, my behavior. I discovered that being a safe and empathetic adult helped them to feel seen, heard, and understood. That’s what they needed.

Within a few weeks, the negative behaviors started to fade and my kids began to thrive. I saw my son with ADHD become more self-assured and peaceful because we were focusing on his strengths, and he wasn't being corrected every minute. And my other son was just happy to have a calmer mom, dad, and brother.

I soon realized that if I can learn a better way to parent, so can everyone else! I want to help parents make the shift from a chaotic home to a calmer, more enjoyable one. I want to give all parents the skills and abilities to have the relationship they have always wanted with their children.

As you can imagine, my life is pretty busy! When I'm not coaching, I like to exercise, dance, paddleboard, spend time outdoors, play board games, listen to music, and watch movies with my family. I also like to laugh as much as possible!

What Makes THEM Special?

My background as a master's level social worker, school social worker, trauma-informed specialist, and mother of twin boys with neurodiversity helps me to coach from a place of knowledge and experience. Trust me, I’ve been there!

I want to help parents learn how to make sense of the sometimes-confusing behaviors of their children with ADHD/neurodivergence and make peace with their own expectations, so that they can keep a strong connection with their children. I am dedicated to helping parents figure out how to better parent their kids and create the lives they’ve always dreamed of.
