About This coach

I am an optimistic and down to earth mother of a grown daughter and young son. I believe parenting approaches evolve alongside our child's development and are dependent on a variety of factors. I find joy helping others explore in this journey.  I love to watch my young son grow, and my continued connection with my grown daughter living across the country.  My hobbies and interests include finding all kinds of ways to be outdoors in nature, science, health and overall well-being.

What Makes THEM Special?

I completed the Jai Parent Coach program in 2023, coming with a background as a nurse educator, nurse practitioner and years of experience in maternal/child health.  I love to work with parents seeking ways to improve their relationship with their children. As your parent coach, I would provide guidance and education through regularly scheduled meetings (i.e. weekly) either in person or remotely, and as determined by your individual needs.

My goal is to empower parents to apply a parenting model that fits their values and beliefs. I provide a non-judgmental approach and focus on helping you develop parenting goals, steps to reach those goals and evaluate your child(ren)’s responses. Challenging behaviors are explored with curiosity and an understanding that all behavior is communication. Parent coaches are not acting as therapists.

Neurobiological research and child-development principles are the backbone of this parent coaching model. You will be guided to reflect upon your own childhood to gain insight into your attachment styles, patterns, and reactions. This process can be transformational. Gentle-parenting strategies backed by science are encouraged to promote a long-term positive and healthy bond.  Parents are expected to login to their online portal through Jai and complete growth work outside of session time. This requires time for readings, written work, and viewing various videos. Parent coach fees vary. The purchase of additional materials may be recommended in addition to the cost of parent coaching sessions or bundles (i.e. parenting books).
