About This coach
Originally from the lively streets of Mexico City, I come from a family deeply rooted in education. My journey led me to Canada, where I pursued a Masters in Education and delved into the coursework for a Ph.D. in Gender, Feminist, and Women's Studies. A pivotal moment prompted me to shift gears from academia to the fulfilling world of parent coaching. As a mother of three, this transformative approach not only salvaged my relationship with my son but rippled positively through all my connections, including my relationship with myself. With a special focus on preventing eating disorders, I'm passionate about fostering healthy family dynamics. Off-duty, you'll find me drinking tea, immersed in reading, hiking, and balancing my well-being through meditation and yoga.
What Makes THEM Special?
I specialize in supporting families dealing with food-related issues, including disordered eating behaviours, body dissatisfaction, and/or diagnosed ED. Having overcome anorexia myself, I intimately understand the challenges families face. My personal journey, combined with my academic background and research in this area, equips me to provide empathetic guidance and practical strategies for parents navigating these issues with their children and youth.
