About This coach
Hi! I’m Tracy Cooper—a lifelong advocate for children, families, and authentic connection. I help parents and caregivers nurture deep, lasting bonds with their children.
Since earning my Master of Social Work degree in 1998, my journey has taken me from the Los Angeles Family Court to schools, nonprofits, and Family Service agencies. I’ve supported families as a custody mediator, counselor, case manager, educator, and now as a full-time elementary school social worker. In this role, I provide one-on-one school-based therapy for children from pre-K to 5th grade, using play, expressive arts, and talk therapy, as well as community outreach and support to parents.
Through my work in mental health counseling, case management, family preservation, and with orphaned children in Haiti, I have come to understand that all children and people desire to connect, be seen by their loved ones, and feel as if their lives are meaningful. This shared desire is what makes this work deeply meaningful to me, and it is why I am so committed to supporting children and families.
As a parent coach, I particularly enjoy working with parents who want to heal generational patterns, strengthen their bonds, and bring more calmness and confidence to their family life. My specialties include supporting couples, divorced parents, and single mothers—drawing on ongoing studies in attachment, neurodevelopment, and peaceful communication.
I am a proud mother of two young adults now living on their own. They inspire me to continue to grow into my best self. It’s never too late to strengthen relationships and express unconditional love for our children and those we love. I recently became "Yaya" to our first grandchild, born in January 2025. We cherish every moment as we support her growth and development. Grandparenting is a joyful experience, and the insight and wisdom we gain through parenting gives us perspectives we didn’t have when our children were young. As a result, we delight in seeing our granddaughter in ways we may not have fully appreciated with our own children.
My passion for coaching stems from my own experience growing up feeling unseen and longing for emotional support to express the full range of my emotions. I also struggled to provide that space for my own children to the degree I had envisioned. My journey as a parent taught me that real change begins with self-awareness and self-compassion. I know that every parent is doing their best, just as I was, and this allows me to provide a non-judgmental space for parents to work through challenges and create new patterns of connection and trust with their children and themselves.
Wherever you are on your parenting path, you deserve support. Let’s work together to nurture a deeper connection and greater joy in your family. It’s never too late to create the relationships you desire—reach out today and take the first step.
