About This coach
Hi, I'm Amy Fink—parent coach, educator, former elementary teacher, and proud mom of two lively, big-hearted daughters. After 12 years in the classroom, I witnessed how today's children face increasing pressures at younger ages, but more importantly, I saw how parents were carrying the weight of feeling like they were failing when their children struggled.
I believe children are whole humans—not "less than" adults—and deserve to be raised with compassion, respect, and heart-centered guidance. I also believe parenting doesn't have to be so hard. Behind closed doors, everyone is having issues too—you're not alone on this island.
What I love most about coaching is watching transformation happen when parents realize they can't change their child's behavior, but they can control how they respond. That moment when a parent stays regulated during their child's biggest meltdown—and watches their entire family dynamic shift—is pure magic. I'm here to walk alongside you with brain-based strategies rooted in neuroscience and trauma-informed care, delivered with zero judgment and all the encouragement.
When I'm not coaching, you'll find me cheering on my daughters at soccer games, practicing yoga (my favorite mindfulness tool!), supporting others in their wellness journeys, or having impromptu kitchen dance parties where I definitely sing too loud. I love bonfires with s'mores, summer days swimming and boating on the lake, volunteering in my community, and yes—curling up with a good book about child development because I'm a total parenting nerd and proud of it!
What Makes THEM Special?
I bring 13+ years of early childhood education expertise combined with a Master's degree in Early Childhood Special Education, which means I understand child development on a scientific level and know how to translate that into practical strategies families can actually use. My special sauce? I help overwhelmed parents move from surviving to thriving using my CALM method (Connect, Acknowledge, Limit, Manage)—evidence-based tools that work with your child's brain development, not against it.
I specialize in parents of children ages 0-12 who are exhausted from power struggles, meltdowns, and the sinking feeling that nothing works. I'm especially passionate about supporting families breaking generational trauma patterns, parents managing their own mental health while showing up for their kids, and families navigating special education and neurodivergence.
What truly sets me apart? I'm also a certified yoga teacher who integrates mindfulness and co-regulation techniques into every session. I believe
connection always comes before correction, and I'm committed to helping parents understand that they're not broken, their child isn't broken—reconnection is always available. Plus, I offer virtual and in-person options, sliding scale pricing for qualifying families, and specialized support for military families.
