About This coach

I graduated from law school in 1997 and set out to practice family law. After six months, I realized my desire to help families could not be accomplished as an attorney. I shifted my career goals to litigation and have been a practicing trial attorney for almost 25 years. I am fascinated by human behavior and juries provide the ultimate study of human behavior.

I continued to feel called to counseling in a different way and, after raising my two children, I went back to school. I graduated from University of Texas at San Antonio with a Master of Science in clinical mental health counseling on December 13, 2019. Grace Guides, LLC is an offering to improve the lives of children and their families.

What Makes THEM Special?

All parents hope their children become physically and emotionally healthy adults. But how? Where do we learn to parent? Typically, we learn from how we were parented. But was our own raising emotionally healthy? Or are we repeating some patterns that perhaps we shouldn’t?

There are well-child check-ups for infants and toddlers. These visits (ten in the first 24-months of life, as suggested by the American Association of Pediatricians) address the physical well-being of our children, but what about emotions? Prevention of future emotional difficulties is possible.

Grace Guides, LLC has created age-based programs to help you and your children learn positive emotional habits. I offer coaching for parents of newborns through age 17. There are group sessions, 1:1 coaching, a community of similarly-situated parents, and useful resources along the way.
