About This coach

Determined not to parent my kids the same way that I was parented, and without a roadmap, I was lucky to discover a positive approach to parenting early on in my parenting journey.  When I felt sad and frustrated by what I saw happening around me in the US in 2016, I decided to become certified as a Parent Educator with the Parent Encouragement Program.

I volunteered in the classroom teaching parents; the experience was rewarding and gratifying.  I have since migrated from my professional background as a dentist to work with parents full time- both in the classroom (or zoom room as it were) and as a Parenting Coach.  Because I'm committed to understanding and exercising the power of our brains, I am also becoming certified in Positive Intelligence.  I love coaching parents around how to support their kids as well as how to grow their own mental fitness.

When I'm not teaching or coaching, you'll find me exercising, meditating, playing with my family and our puppy.  I love to read, to cook, to sing, and to visit friends and family.

What Makes THEM Special?

I have fun taking complicated concepts and breaking them down so they are readily digestible and easy to activate.  My secret sauce is my background in brain science.  Because the brain governs both OUR behavior and our KIDS behavior- the more we understand and know about our brains the more effective we can be as parents.

As a brain enthusiast, I bring my background and experience to support parents to cultivate a positive parenting mindset, coupled with some brain know-how, and to learn relationship skills like peaceful communication and encouragement.  Parents that I work with learn to generate families steeped in values that are important to them (for my part- that's cooperation, responsibility and joy). I am currently raising two teenagers, and I love to roll up my sleeves with other parents of teenagers to navigate this sometimes rocky  terrain.  I love to teach and learn with motivated parents of kids of any ages that I work with.  Because I understand that major change requires insight AND practice- I make a point to incorporate lots of practice while keeping it fun!
