About This coach

Hello, my name is Erika Vickerman. I have a background in education starting with a Masters degree I received in 2001. I have worked in junior highs, senior highs, and most recently for five years at our local preschool where all of my kids attended. I have been a parent for 16 years, and 8 of those years I was a full time stay at home Mom. The other years I was working as an educator in some capacity while my kids were in school. I believe that women's natural way of nurturing, circling, sharing and lifting up others is what is most needed in leadership in our world today.  I love to lift up and inspire women in any capacity that I can. And as much as I loved teaching children, I am so excited to shift gears and coach parents going forward. I love to work with Mom's (and Dad's) to inspire confidence and empowerment in their lives and in their parenting. For hobbies, I love to read (I've been in a book club for 21 years), cross country ski, listen to podcasts, go for walks and enjoy gardening and traveling. I also love to gather with my friends for coffee, lunch or a happy hour! I'm so excited to join this community of Jai which I really feel are "my people!"

What Makes THEM Special?

With a M.A. in Education and years of working with children (as well as my own four children between the ages of 8 and 16) I have a lot of years of experience with an age range of kids. I understand the exhaustion of the preschool years and the stress of the teenage years. I have followed Jai practices and every peaceful parenting resource I could get my hands on since I learned about Jai in 2012. I even had a call with Kiva back then, but was expecting our 4th child and just did not think I could commit to the course at that time. I am so excited to finally be a coach and resource for parents. I practice the work of Jai daily with my own family and can fully attest to how it has transformed my family.
