About This coach

I am Jo, a mother, an introvert and a parent coach, based in the Scottish Highlands.  I see so much value in introvert tendencies as a person and as a parent - but I definitely haven’t always felt like this. In the past it has contributed to a lot of challenges including burnout.

The combination of sensory overload and social expectations used to flood my brain with anxiety. After a lifetime of trying to fit in I found it very difficult to set boundaries or communicate my needs.

So I had to figure out how to parent well as an introvert, how to play to my strengths so that I didn’t get overwhelmed. I started to approach parenting a bit differently in a way that felt more authentic. It took a lot of trial and error but I slowly started to find ways to balance my needs as an introvert with the realities of parenthood.

So this is why I focus on supporting other parents who are introverts - I get it, I understand the challenges and I also want to celebrate the wonderful benefits of parenting as an introvert. Being an introvert parent in an extrovert world can make you feel different. But you are not alone, and the gifts you have to offer as an introvert parent will help your children thrive.

I’m here to help as you challenge the norms and redefine parenthood for yourself.

What Makes THEM Special?

I specialise in supporting introvert parents who are feeling overwhelmed, stuck on autopilot and longing for relief!

Becoming a parent really highlighted my introvert nature and there are lots of things I wish I had known at the start to bring more ease.

I now help parents with a step by step route away from overwhelm towards feeling more grounded and energised.

Working with me as a coach will help you cut out the noise and expectation of the outside world so you can focus on what matters most. What you want for yourself and your children and what is getting in the way.

If you would like to see how coaching with me works, I offer a free session where we will:

> have a 60 minute call on zoom

> unpack a current challenge

> get a deeper understanding about why you are stuck

> gain clarity on practical next steps

This is perfect if you:

> feel like you are missing out on your kids in a blur of exhaustion

> often feel triggered and on edge

> crave alone time to recharge

> feel stuck on autopilot because you are Just. So. Tired.

> long to be more light hearted, fun, and present with your family

Working with me will help you come up for air.
