About This coach
I’m Kira Sadaka — a certified Jai Parenting Coach, mom of three, and one of the original team members at The Mother Hood LA, a therapy practice in Los Angeles devoted to helping parents feel more connected, resourced, and human in the midst of modern family life.
Originally from New York, I spent many years as an elementary school teacher before having children. When I became a parent, I knew I wanted to take time away from the classroom while my children were babies, but I wasn’t sure what I would want to do afterwards. My time with the Jai Institute made me realize that I wanted to parlay my love of teaching into something more parent-centric — a way to support the adults who shape the next generation.
My three children are close in age — just two years apart — and my journey to motherhood included IVF, so I deeply understand that the challenges of parenting often begin long before our children are even born. I’m passionate about learning and about understanding the why behind both our children’s behaviors and our own reactions. My work centers on helping parents regulate their nervous systems, repair old patterns, and bring more intention and self-compassion into their daily lives.
I also know how hard it can be to raise children far from family and without the “village” many of us were taught to expect. That’s why I’m committed to helping parents find connection, capacity, and community again. When I’m not coaching, you can find me in Los Angeles with my husband and kids, creating content for The Mother Hood LA, volunteering at my children's elementary school, or sneaking in a few quiet minutes with an iced coffee and a good book.
What Makes THEM Special?
What sets me apart as a Jai Parenting Coach is that I live and breathe this work in the real world — as a mom of three young children, a community builder, and a parent coach who understands how overwhelming modern motherhood can feel. I specialize in helping parents slow down, regulate their nervous systems, and reconnect to their values so they can parent from intention instead of reactivity.
Through my work at The Mother Hood LA and my Lost + Found: A Parenting Reset program, I support parents who feel stuck in the chaos of everyday family life — parents who want to break old cycles but don’t know where to start. My coaching blends attachment science, nervous system awareness, and emotional intelligence with a down-to-earth, compassionate approach. I’m not here to “fix” parents — I help them remember who they are underneath the noise.
