About This coach

Hi, I’m Marti Roveda — a parent coach, Certified Parent Peer Specialist, and founder of Equanimity Parent Coaching. After walking through my own family's journey with substance use and mental health challenges, I became passionate about helping other parents find strength, healing, and hope. I specialize in supporting parents of tweens, teens, and young adults navigating substance use, neurodivergence, and emotional struggles, combining lived experience with tools from brain science, attachment theory, and nervous system regulation. When I’m not coaching, I love traveling with my husband, cheering on my son’s successes, reading about healing and neuroscience, and or speaking out to help change the conversation around adolescent mental health and substance use. I believe no family is beyond hope, and every parent deserves support, compassion, and the tools to lead their family’s healing journey with courage.

What Makes THEM Special?

At Equanimity Parent Coaching, I help parents move from survival mode into calm, confident leadership — even in the midst of crisis.

What sets me apart is my lived experience navigating my own child's struggles with substance use and mental health, combined with professional training as a Certified Parent Peer Specialist and trauma-informed parent coach.

I specialize in supporting parents of tweens, teens, and young adults facing substance use, neurodivergence, emotional dysregulation, or behavioral challenges. I weave together brain science, attachment theory, emotional intelligence, and nervous system regulation to help parents heal themselves, reconnect with their children, and create lasting change.

My approach is warm, empowering, and rooted in real-life resilience. I love working with parents ready to find their voice, strengthen connection, and lead their family's healing journey with equanimity.
