About This coach
Megan is a compassionate and experienced parent coach with over 26 years of hands-on experience raising children, including adult children, teens, and children in foster care.
Specializing in trauma-informed parenting, Megan has a deep understanding of the challenges that come with adoption and Reactive Attachment Disorder (RAD). With a focus on building strong, healthy relationships and helping parents navigate complex emotional dynamics, Megan provides guidance on understanding attachment needs, healing trauma, and promoting resilience in children.
Whether you're seeking practical strategies for day-to-day parenting or need support for managing difficult behaviors, Megan is dedicated to helping parents thrive while fostering a nurturing, loving environment for their children.
Megan, like many others, has become addicted to pickleball, enjoying how it helps her stay healthy. This newfound energy allows her to continue to hike with the family, birdwatch with her son, and paddleboard on Lake Michigan.
What Makes THEM Special?
I've worn many roles as a mother—foster mom, adoptive mom, and biological mom. I’m deeply involved in all aspects of family life with four adult children and two school-age kids. My adopted children have both experienced trauma, which has made navigating family and school life especially challenging. In response, I’ve delved into learning about neuroscience and trauma to better support them through these difficult beginnings.
