About This coach

I have always had a passion for working with children and families. Having grown up in a family where "children were seen but not heard" I knew there had to be a better and healthier way to raise children.

Raising my own son reinforced that notion, fueling my desire to raise him in a way that was respectful, and from a place of curiosity, compassion and conscious awareness. The change starts with us... Healing our own hurts gives our children the security so many of us longed for in our own childhoods.

The journey may be long and painful, but it's worth it. I believe that when the relationship is strong, the magic happens. I like to say, "if you water them, they will grow." I love helping families find their way back to the joyfulness and tranquility that comes with nurturing and the feeing of connection.

I love inviting people to join me around the table, so when I'm not coaching you'll find me creating connection through cooking.

What Makes THEM Special?

As the mother of a young adult, I have been where you are. I see you, I feel you. I was there once too. And I can tell you it can and will get easier.

I use a relational model that asks the question, what kind of relationship do you want with your child? The focus is on relationship building as the most effective path to influencing your child's behavior. All behavior is a communication of a need. Our children are always asking, DO YOU SEE ME?

In our work together, my goal will be to help you shift your perspective away from the behavior to understand the need beneath it. Away from reacting from a place of fear, anger or control to one of compassion and curiosity. A place where the relationship with yourself and your child is strengthened and nurtured. A place where joyfulness and tranquility find a place at the table and you can begin to feel optimistic about the future of your family.

Parenting is beautiful, messy, exciting and complicated. Parenting is perfectly imperfect! At Imperfect Parenting, my goal is to help you navigate the challenges that come with raising a family and rediscover the joy in parenting.
