About This coach

My name is Insia, and I’m a mother, psychotherapist, and the founder of A Tarbiyah Journey (ATJ)—a faith-based, neuroscience-aligned approach to parenting that supports the emotional, spiritual, and developmental well-being of both parent and child.

I’ve been supporting families since 2016, and today I run a successful private practice and founded a worldwide faith-based clinic serving families in the U.S. and Canada. I’ve trained and supervised therapists, built clinics from the ground up, and had the honor of working with over 100 clients with a 98% retention rate—largely through transformational results and word-of-mouth referrals.

What I love most about coaching is witnessing the moment a mother realizes:

“I can raise my children with peace, connection, and confidence—and I don’t have to lose myself in the process.”

My coaching is grounded in:

  • The teachings of the Islam and a deep belief in nurturing a child’s fitrah
  • Attachment theory and neuroscience
  • Trauma-informed, emotionally safe practices
  • Practical home rhythms and gentle structure
  • Healing the mother’s heart while supporting the child’s growth

As a parent myself, I understand the emotional complexity of raising a child who is sensitive, curious, spirited, and deeply connected to home. I bring both professional expertise and lived experience, blending them into guidance that is compassionate, non-judgmental, and rooted in Islamic values.

When I’m not coaching, I’m usually immersed in homeschooling, exploring nature with my son, reading about child development, or creating faith-aligned resources for families. I’m passionate about intentional living, emotional growth, and creating homes that feel like places of sakoon (peace), not stress.

I’m here to support you in building a home grounded in mercy, connection, and alignment—with Allah, with your child, and with yourself.

What Makes THEM Special?

As a JAI Parenting Coach and a psychotherapist with nearly a decade of clinical experience, I offer a unique blend of faith-rooted parenting guidanceneuroscience, and trauma-informed support to help mothers create peaceful, connected homes. My “special sauce” lies in bringing together Islamic insightemotionally attuned parenting, and deep therapeutic knowledge—all delivered in a way that feels safe, practical, and aligned with the everyday life of a Muslim mother.

I specialize in working with mothers who want to parent from a place of calm, confidence, and connection, but feel overwhelmed by emotional load, guilt, reactivity, or the weight of doing everything “right.”

I support families navigating:

  • Big emotions and meltdowns
  • Power struggles
  • Sensitive, spirited, or anxious children
  • Reparenting your inner child while raising your own
  • Faith-aligned discipline rooted in mercy
  • Emotional regulation for both mothers and children
  • Parenting through the lens of the Islamic faith

My approach integrates therapeutic depthIslamic values, and practical tools that transform your daily rhythms—not just your intentions. I help you understand what’s happening in your child’s brainwhat’s happening in your heart, and how to bridge both with connection, compassion, and structure.

Parents who work with me often say they finally feel seensteady, and empowered, with simple systems and scripts they can use immediately—while also healing the deeper emotional patterns that may be affecting their parenting.
