About This coach

Hi, I’m Melissa. I am a devoted mother to my son and daughter. Soon after the arrival of my son in 2016, I became deeply committed to healing the lingering hurts from my childhood so I could break the cycle of power over parenting and consciously connect with my children.

I love children! I wholeheartedly believe they are our best teachers and are present in our lives to help us grow to our full potential! All children deserve to be guided and loved by the best version each of us has to offer.

Once I understood how possible it was to build a relationship with children based on mutual trust, understanding and respect, I became passionate about supporting other parents in this life-changing work. My certification as an Empowered Parenting Coach has been a significant achievement!

When I’m not coaching, you’ll likely find me hanging out with my children or adventuring to a new or familiar natural location. I am a self-professed lover of dark chocolate, barista-made coffee and personal development. You can reach out to me and receive parenting support at Parenting Takes Courage.
